Current Students

Current students that have a cumulative 3.00 GPA and make the Honors List will be awarded the Golden Opportunity Scholarship for one semester (does not include summer term(s)).  The scholarship will be awarded for the subsequent semester.  In order to receive the award, the student must be enrolled in 15 hours during the subsequent term at Arkansas Baptist College.  Golden Opportunity Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Arkansas Baptist College Honors Convocation.

Athletics and Performance Scholarships

Athletics

Institutional Aid is available for students interested in the following Athletics programs:

  • Football
  • Basketball (Men’s and Women’s)
  • Track (Men’s and Women’s)
  • Softball
  • Wrestling
  • Baseball

Performance Scholarships

Performance Scholarships are available for students interested in Band and Choir.   Interested students should contact Reverend Henry Parker, Fine Arts Chairman, at (501) 420-1320 or (501) 352-3705. Reverend Parker is also available via email at henry.parker@arkansasbaptist.edu.

Application Procedures

  • There is no additional scholarship application.
  • The ACT or SAT is not required. The student, however, must meet the minimum high school grade point average.
  • Complete an Arkansas Baptist College Admissions Application online at https://www.arkansasbaptist.edu/ (no application fee required).
  • Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
  • All documents required for admissions (e.g., vaccination records, official high school/college transcript(s), admissions application, FAFSA) must be received on or before May 1, 2020 for fall 2020 attendance.
  • All documents required for admissions (e.g., vaccination records, official high school/college transcript(s), admissions application, FAFSA) must be received for spring 2020 attendance.
  • Prospective students must be degree-seeking to receive a scholarship.
  • In order to maintain eligibility, all scholarship recipients must earn a minimum of 30 semester hours each academic year (fall/spring) and maintain the required GPA.
