Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of related experience in higher education, career services, advising, recruiting, training, or professional development.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem solving, analytical, public speaking, and marketing skills. • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs, and ability to work with and present data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple, ongoing programs, and services.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours, when needed.

Job Description:

This position will serve, engage and impact key populations within the College, including students and student organizations, former students, employers, and administrators, faculty, and staff; will identify and develop new employment opportunities, both full-time and internship/Cooperative Education, and maintain existing partnerships; and will create strategic initiatives and virtual approaches to career development and education, including increased engagement of students in the virtual space. The successful incumbent will work well in a fast-paced environment and will be a team player with experience building successful collaborations. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the demonstrated ability to create strategic initiatives for improving processes, designing, and developing new and innovative models, including virtual collaboration and instruction, and implementing new technologies.
