Retention Specialist

Arkansas Baptist College seeks a qualified individual as Retention Specialist.

 Duties will include:

• Individual coaching to help foster student success and academic development.
• Maintenance of documentation of student interactions.
• Generating performance reports and summarizing student progress.
• Plan and execute intervention strategies for students who receive academic alerts in collaboration with academic units.
• Conduct workshops and presentations for students or organizations. pertaining to goal setting, time management, study skills, communication skills, and value clarification.
• Develop specific programs and action plans for readmitted and non-traditional students.
• Work and communicate with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and related work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with both faculty and student populations.
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
• Ability to interact effectively as either a leader or as a member of a team, and work collaboratively with other departments.
