Giving Opportunities

Since 1884, Arkansas Baptist College has offered an exceptional education to students who otherwise may not have access to higher learning. Investing in our scholars allows them to focus on their degree attainment without the heavy burden of financial worries.

The following are a few ways that you can invest in us:
The Annual Fund is comprised of unrestricted gifts to provide educational enrichment through student scholarships, instructional classroom needs, and enhanced campus services and facilities. Gifts to the Annual Fund are donated annually and support current operations. These gifts are critical in meeting the day-to-day needs as we move the needle of higher education and prepare our students for great career opportunities. Click the ‘Donate Now’ button above to GIVE NOW to the Annual Fund!

The Arkansas Baptist College 1884 Scholarship Fund highlights our founding year and helps to increase student enrollment by providing financial assistance to incoming freshmen by closing the gaps that remain after federal student aid programs are exhausted. This scholarship fund also aids current students and puts the College in a greater position to increase retention of current students who find the costs of college difficult to manage. Your support can make the difference.

Endowed Scholarships is a permanent and perpetual scholarship fund which can be created with a gift or gifts totaling at least $25,000. The principal of the fund is invested to produce income, and scholarships are awarded using a percentage of the dividends. An endowed scholarship fund may begin with less than $25,000 as long as regular contributions over a three-year period are given to reach the minimum endowment level. The first scholarship award may be made one year following the attainment of the minimum endowment level, depending upon the amount of dividend.

Non-Endowed Scholarship is a fund in which the donor contributes the award amount annually or on or before June 30th. Contributions can be added to the fund by the initial donor and/or others who may wish to contribute to the fund (i.e., family, friends, employers, etc.). The scholarship may be established in the name of an individual, family, company, organization, or group. A non-endowed scholarship fund may be established with a minimum gift of $2,500.

Both Endowed and Non-Endowed scholarships typically are named in honor of an individual, family, organization, or group, as well as in memory of a loved one. How wonderful to cherish or memorialize an alumnus, faculty/staff member, friend, student, family member or someone with a special connection to Arkansas Baptist College through either the Endowed or Non-Endowed Scholarship Funds!

The Heritage Society is an exclusive society of legacy donors who have made arrangements to benefit Arkansas Baptist College through charitable gift planning. You can name the College as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, set up a charitable gift annuity or charitable trust, which may result in significant tax savings for you. To learn more about options like these, please contact the Director of Development at (501) 420-1210.

The Fund-A-Future program allows supporters to further invest in the future of Arkansas Baptist College students by paying tuition costs still owed by students after financial aid has paid a percentage of their total tuition costs. Because expenses related to the college will not be taken out of Fund-A-Future donations, 100% of your gift will be tax deductible while 100% of money donated will go directly to tuition expenses.

When you Fund-A-Future at Arkansas Baptist College, you are answering the call to educate deserving young men and women, regardless of their financial circumstances. Your support will ensure the College’s continued success by investing in the people who matter most, our students!
