Network Systems Support Engineer

Job Summary:

  • Manage the daily operation, maintenance, support, and management of network devices, servers, printers, and workstations on the Campus network.
  • Ensure all IT-related documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all managed devices and other electronic/telecommunications equipment.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Windows Server OS and all other MS products (Office, Windows, Active Directory, etc.)
  • Train users on software packages and cloud services
  • Assess hardware/software upgrades and replacements, and recommend products/services for adoption
  • Work with consultants, vendors, and service providers to design, manage, and support networks, software platforms, and systems as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues for PCs, servers, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Maintains the college’s website and social media platforms
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of college with 5 years related network experience; or bachelor’s degree with 3 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of PCs and networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networks, servers, and PCs.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible scheduling is required.
  • Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
