Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) is passionate about helping you reach your personal and professional goals. We recognize the value of Christian liberal arts experience at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and we make every effort to provide a quality education that works with your budget and schedule. We welcome students from all walks of life, so whether you are currently working, caring for your family, or both, you can take advantage of our flexible academic calendar that works with your lifestyle. The following information will help you explore our associate degree programs, part-time degree tracks, and convenient minimesters that can propel you toward your career.
The associate degree programs offered at Arkansas Baptist College are a great way to begin or relaunch your academic career. Whether you are just starting college for the first time or returning to learn new skills and boost your resume, an associate degree can prepare you for the job you want in only two years. After receiving your associate degree, you can join the workforce in a rewarding field like criminal justice, human services, or Christian education. You may also choose to continue your education and work toward a four-year degree program with most of your introductory classes complete.
Part-time degree tracks are a popular option for students who are balancing their educational goals with work or family responsibilities. It may take longer to complete a part-time degree than if you were a full-time student, but you will be able to take classes while remaining employed at your current job and spending quality time with your family during the week. You can complete an associate or bachelor’s degree at Arkansas Baptist College at your own pace, taking fewer than 12 credit hours per semester.
Our Buffalo Stampede Sessions are minimester classes that make it easy for you to fit classes into your busy schedule. Stampede Sessions allow you to complete course credits much faster than regular classes. For example, a regular spring semester at Arkansas Baptist College may last from the beginning of January to the end of April. A minimester, on the other hand, may only require you to attend classes from the beginning of March to the end of April. Because minimesters are shorter, their classes typically occur every day of the week and for longer periods of time. These classes are a great choice if you have little time during the year to devote to college or if you are trying to catch up after taking time off from school.
At Arkansas Baptist College, we try to remove as many barriers to your education as possible. You do not have to choose between living your life and furthering your career opportunities. By offering a flexible academic calendar and financial aid for eligible students, we make sure your goals are within reach.
