Prospective Students - Financial Aid

Arkansas Baptist College recognizes that when an individual develops to his/her fullest potential and capacity, society and the individual will benefit. Thus, every effort is made to eliminate financial need as an insurmountable obstacle to attending college. For those who are unable to pay, this means identifying and remedying the problem of limited resources. For those with limited resources, this means finding ways to ease the financial burdens of the student and hi/her family. This also includes a special commitment to aiding disadvantaged students who have been regulated to life patterns below their capacities, not for lack of ability, but for lack of information and finances and other factors unrelated to academic ability. The Financial Aid Office has been charged with the responsibility of aiding students in this area. In determining the extent of the student's need, the college must consider the financial support that may be expected from the income, assets, and other resources of the parents and the student. The college considers its financial aid program supplementary to the efforts of the students' families in assisting students with college expenses. The Financial Aid Office administers all awards in accordance with college's equal opportunity policy. Applications for federal/state financial aid and some scholarships may be obtained in the Financial Aid Office. Certain scholarship applications are available through the office of Executive Vice-President/Chief Academic Officer. Financial aid available to students includes grants, part-time employment, scholarships, and Federal Student Loans.
