On the Road to the Governor’s Cup

The School of Business and Applied Science Technology is proud to present the students from Arkansas Baptist College that competed in the Historically Black College and Universities (HBCU) Entrepreneurial challenge on the road to the Governor’s Cup Award. The faculty advisor for these business plans is Professor James Banks, under the direction of Dean Constance Meadors and in collaboration with Mrs. Caron Lott-Dunn. We would like to congratulate all of the teams that participated in this year’s event.

Mrs. Legenia Bearden - THE CHANCE PROGRAM - Second Place
The Chance Program will focus intensively on quality family entertainment, and arts education for low to moderate income families...

Mrs. Yvonne Brewer-McMiller - AMBRIA MUSIC - Third Place
We want to show, by being role models that there is a way to achieve success through music without the negative influences of violence and drugs.

Ms. Elizabeth Harrison - THREE-IN-ONE TOOTHBRUSH - Honorable mention
Harrison and Associates wants to inspire people to get more involved in their dental hygiene with the convenience of the Three-in-one toothbrush and toothpaste for general hygiene practices.

Mr. Earl Williams - TRANSPORTATION (NextTranz) - Honorable mention
An innovative transportation program for after school children and families.

- BFW MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS - Honorable mention
The Bland, Fitzpatrick, and Williams Management and Information Systems Corporation was established to nurture, educate, and stimulate the minds of the urban and low income communities through computer technology.
