Submit your FAFSA

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the federal application that must be completed annually beginning January 1st to apply for federal financial aid for the following school year. This application is the first step in the process of receiving financial aid. To apply, go to www.fafsa.gov and use the school code: 001087 to have your information sent to Arkansas State.

FSA ID replaces Federal Student Aid PIN

Effective May, 2015, login options have changed on the FAFSA website. For all new and returning users, you will no longer be asked to submit a four digit PIN to identify yourself.

The FAFSA ID is made up of a username and password you create that can be used to log into FAFSA on the web. This new process will benefit you in four ways:

  • It removes your personally identifiable information (PII), like your Social Security number, from your log-in credentials
  • It creates a more secure and efficient way to verify your information when you log in to access to your federal student aid information online
  • It gives you the ability to easily update your personal information, like your phone number, e-mail address, or your name
  • It allows you to easily retrieve your username and password by requesting a secure code be sent to your e-mail address or by answering challenge questions

Simply navigate to the Student Aid website fafsa.gov and create your new and secure FSA ID for all your online FAFSA needs!

Know the Cost

Attending Arkansas Baptist College is an investment into your future that pays off. Although the cost of getting an education can be expensive, Arkansas Baptist College is reasonably priced compared to similar institutions.

Most students attending ABC receive some form of financial aid to help cover the cost of their education, but it is important to plan ahead by taking an honest look at your family’s finances and calculating the cost of attending ABC.

General Timelines for Awards

Awarding Timeline

Each financial aid year begins almost 10 months before the start of the academic year. January 1st is when the new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available. Because some types of funding are limited, we recommend submitting your FAFSA as early as possible after January 1st. The FAFSA allows you to use estimated figures if you have not yet completed your tax forms.

After your FAFSA is submitted, the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships may start posting additional requirements to your student account (Student Account).

Many scholarship applications are also available even before the FAFSA, with some available as early as October.

The awarding process starts in mid-March each year, when the ABC Office of Student Financial Aid & Scholarships begins mailing award notifications to students for the upcoming year. Once awarding begins, new awards are added every 7-10 days for the remainder of the school year.
